Alava (in the Basque language Araba) is the largest and least populated of the three historic Basque Country territories and is a Spanish province. Its capital is Vitoria, which is also the capital of the Basque Country.

Vitoria (in euskera Gasteiz) is the capital of Alava and the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country.
